Creating Original Music Using MyBytes Music Mixer:

  • Create an account. No email is required for this.
  • Preview loops in the loop browser. When you find a loop that you like, drag the green square up to a track in your mixer. Only one instrument can be on a track but you have 5 tracks to work with.

  • You can save a mix at any time and come back to it later by giving your mix a name (do not use any special characters - yes an apostrophe IS a special character - or your mix will not save), assigning rights (from Unrestricted to For sale, Cannot be used in other mixes - if you pick a For sale option, set the song cost, in credits, in the orange box) and then clicking Save Tone. Your saved mixes can be found in your Created/Collected Tones tab.

  • To download an MP3 of your mix, you need to give your mix a name (once again, no special characters!), assign rights and click Publish Tone. Once you do this, your mix will be found under My Profile. You can click the Download option to download the MP3 to your computer.

If you want to use your download mix in some versions of PowerPoint, you will need to convert if from an MP3 to a WAV file. I use Audacity to do that: Just open the MP3 File and then Export as WAV. You can also use Audacity to trim the file if needed if you did not use all of the measures available when creating your mix.
